Visit Piriapolis
Today, a full-day excursion to Piriápolis and Punta del Este is on the program. From the hotel, you will drive through the residential areas of Montevideo and just under 110 km to Piriápolis, one of Uruguay's most famous seaside resorts. You will see the beautiful beach promenade and the famous Hotel Argentino. The journey continues up to the San Antonio mountain, where you stop to enjoy the wonderful panoramic view.
Visit Punta del Este
The tour then continues to Punta del Este, the fashionable seaside resort and meeting place for the jet set. The first stop is at Portezuelo and Punta Ballena for breathtaking views of the coast and an excellent opportunity to take photos. Just before Punta del Este is the Casapueblo, former home and studio of the famous artist Carlos Paez Vilaro, where you will make a short stop (no entrance fee included). Today, the gleaming white building, reminiscent of the Greek Santorini, houses a hotel, an art gallery and a museum. From here you can enjoy the beautiful view and catch your first glimpse of Punta del Este. Continue to Punta del Este and visit the elegant residential areas. You will then visit La Barra with its unique suspension bridges. Drive along some beautiful fine sandy beaches to the center of Punta del Este, visit the main shopping street and the port, among other sights. After a little free time for lunch and to explore the city on your own, we return to the hotel.
