Today, a full-day excursion to the Valdés peninsula is on the program. The journey first takes you along the Golfo Nuevo to the Golfo San José, from where you can see the 'Bird Island' from a short distance. Throughout the year, sea animals can be seen on land or in the sheltered bays to the north and south of the Valdés peninsula. The entire Valdés peninsula is a nature park and offers protection for countless bird species, as well as for the sea lions and elephant seals that roar on the beaches and cliffs here. The whales come to breed near this coast from May and stay until mid-December.
