Leave Medellín and drive 83 km to the town of Guatapé, known for its church and the bright colors of its houses. Continue to the “El Peñol” boulder, a gigantic 200-metre-high monolith that is one of the most spectacular places in the area. If you wish, you can climb the 740 steps to enjoy the breathtaking view of lush mountains and blue lakes. Afterwards, you can take a short boat trip on the Guatapé reservoir and explore the surroundings. You can also take a walk around the lake or simply relax. After a traditional lunch, you will return to Medellín.
