Visit to the Cotopaxi National Park
After breakfast, continue south to the “Avenue of the Volcanoes”. You will visit the Cotopaxi National Park: this highland area, which has been protected since 1975, is certainly one of the most attractive nature reserves in the country with its 33,000 hectares. On a walk near the shallow lake “Laguna de Limpiopungo” at an altitude of almost 4000m, you will get to know the typical vegetation of the so-called “Páramos”, with the majestic Cotopaxi (5897m) in the background. This is a treat for all photographers!
