You begin your day early with a birdwatching tour on the Cáceres River. At dawn, most species are especially active, making the early start worthwhile. After a well-deserved breakfast, you board the boats again to search for pink river dolphins. Next, you’ll have the chance to try your hand at piranha fishing. After lunch, the giant Victoria Regia water lilies await you, and with a bit of luck, you may spot caimans, tarantulas, and other wildlife during the night excursion.
Day 2 - 3
Lunch, dinner, and overnight stay at the Heliconia Amazon Lodge.
Day 3
Your day begins well-rested after breakfast. You will visit a local river community to learn about their customs and traditions, as well as the current living conditions of people in this part of the jungle. Lunch at the lodge, followed by another excursion in search of river dolphins — not only the pink ones, but also the gray variety. And if you didn’t have any luck with piranha fishing yesterday, you’ll have another chance to try today! Dinner at the lodge.
