Later, you will visit the La Popa monastery, which is located on the highest hill in Cartagena. This impressive monument was founded in 1607 and offers an incomparable view of the city and the bay. After exploring one of the most beautiful monasteries in Colombia, make your way to the historic center and stroll through the cobbled streets. Admire prominent monuments, pastel-colored colonial buildings and the iconic clock tower. Afterwards, visit the Sanctuary of San Pedro Claver, which was founded by the Jesuits in the 17th century. Admire the stone façade of the three-storey building, the colorful stained glass windows and the artistic marble work. Inside, you can discover a wealth of artifacts, including religious art, pre-Columbian ceramics and Afro-Caribbean paintings and masks.
