Arrival in Kasani (Bolivian-Peruvian border) and assistance with migration formalities.
Transfer to the religious city of Copacabana where you will visit the famous church with the shrine of the Black Virgin and the main square.
You then board the eco-friendly catamaran and set sail for the southern part of the sunny island. Here you will visit Pilcocaina, the most spectacular complex of ruins on the island. This labyrinth of stone walls and tiny doorways overlooks a beautiful white beach lapped by deep blue waters.
Visit the ruins and take part in an Aymara ceremony led by a Kallawaya (Andean healer). Afterwards, take a local barge to the Yumani landing stage. From here you climb the Inca steps and visit the island's fountain of youth, where fresh water gushes from a natural spring. The 3 artificial stone channels are supposed to represent the three levels of the Andean energy of the Inca Staircase.
On the subsequent catamaran trip to Cocotoni, enjoy breathtaking views of the Royal Cordillera and a selection of delicious dishes, including Bolivian specialties, carefully prepared by the chef.
Arrive in Cocotoni and continue overland to La Paz and your hotel.
**Note: The transfer from Puno to Kasani (border crossing) is private. The transfer from Kasani to the starting point of the catamaran trip and from the end point of the catamaran trip to La Paz is carried out as a SIB service - the clients travel together with other passengers in the bus, but have a private German-speaking guide.
