Your Travel Experience with South American Tours DMC
You will be picked up from your hotel and set off on a city tour of Cusco. You will first visit the local San Pedro market. Here you will learn more about the variety of Peruvian fruit, vegetables, spices and other products. You will then head to the heart of the Inca empire, the Plaza de Armas, and visit the impressive cathedral. Your route continues through the alleyways of the old town lined with Inca walls until you reach the Koricancha Temple of the Sun, which was converted into the Catholic Church of Santo Domingo by the Spanish.
Then make your way to San Blas, the iconic cultural and artistic district with its pretty colonial houses. Stroll through the cobbled streets and browse through the beautiful craft stores and original stores. Let yourself be enchanted by the picturesque little street “Siete Borreguitos”: a real gem and the perfect backdrop for authentic souvenir photos. Finally, you will go to the viewpoint, from where you will have an excellent panoramic view of the city of Cusco.
**Note: Part of the tour is covered on foot. In order to protect the historic city center of Cusco, vehicles are no longer allowed to enter the main square.
