Uros Island excursion
The trip goes by boat to the Uros Islands. The Uros are the actual inhabitants of Lake Titicaca. They live on around 40 floating islands built from reeds. The Indians have preserved their way of life and traditions. They sell their handicrafts on the islands.
Taquile Island excursion
Then the journey continues to the island of Taquile, which is still in the Peruvian part of Lake Titicaca. The people here wear colorful, traditional dresses that they make themselves and sell in cooperative stores on the island. There are no roads or electricity on the island. On the slopes of the island are agricultural terraces that date back to the time before the Incas.
Famous are the knitting men of Taquile, who can be seen all day long with knitting tools in their hands, producing fine knitwear. These are also offered for sale on site.
**Note: For 01 to 07 participants inclusive, the boat is shared with other international travelers, accompanied by a German-speaking tour guide. From 08 participants, the group has its own boat.
